Let the world know about your podcast with the iTunes Music Store
How about letting the how world know about your podcast by using the iTunes Music Store (iTMS) to publicising your grate podcast! Once you have submitted your feed it will take a day or two before apple will let you know that your feed has been added.
You will need a Apple ID (you can also uses your dot mac account as well) account or an AOL account to log into the iTunes Music Store so that you can add your podcast. Don't worry if you don't have one iTunes will ask you if you would like to create one.
Overview:
- Stage 1 - Open up iTunes
- Stage 2 - Submit your Podcast
- Stage 3 - Adding your link to your Podcast feed
- Stage 4 - Sign in to publish your podcast
- Stage 5 - Successful notification
- Stage 6 - Approved notification
Stage 1 - Open up iTunes
So to get your self started, firt open up iTunes and click on the Music Store from there go to the main window, and under 'Inside the Music Store' click on Podcasts.

Stage 2 - Submit your Podcast
You should see the main window change and in the same area on left under 'Inside the Music Store', the list should have changed. Under this new list click on Submit a Podcast.

Stage 3 - Adding your link to your Podcast feed
Once again the main window will change. This time it will ask you for your URL to your podcast feed, this will be the link to your blog with ?flavor=itms at the end eg:
http://blogs.rave.ac.uk/blojsom/blog/<your ID>/?flavor=itms
After this click Continue

Stage 4 - Sign in to publish your podcast
After clicking on Continue iTunes will ask you to sign in to publish your podcast. Once you have don this iTunes will ask you one or to other qustions before your don here.

Stage 5 - Successful notification
Give it a few days be for you hopefully get a successful e-mail notification from the iTunes Music Store guys.

Stage 6 - Approved notification
After the successful e-mail notification, you should then have a follow up e-mail notification saying that your podcast has been approved. With in this approved e-mail, your will find a unique web link (URL) starting http://phobos.apple.com/...
This is very powerful link, as you will be taken to your podcats in the iTMS. It works by any one who clicks on it, there Mac or PC will automatically open up iTunes and be take then to your podcast eg:
