Logging into your blog web admin console
Here you'll learn how to log into your blog web admin console so you can administer your blog, and create blog entries, just using a web browser. We'll also take a look at what fellow Ravensbourne Bloggers are up to.
Overview:
Stage 1: Web link (URL) of your blog
If you are a student, the URL of your blog is made up like this:
http://blogs.rave.ac.uk/blojsom/blog/<your student ID log on number>/ |
| Here's an example blog: |
| http://blogs.rave.ac.uk/blojsom/blog/91234599/ |
If you are a member of staff, the URL of your blog is made up like this:
| http://blogs.rave.ac.uk/blojsom/blog/<your staff log on ID>/ |
| A hypothetical example blog: |
| http://blogs.rave.ac.uk/blojsom/blog/jsmith/ |
Tip: Once you've found your blog you might want to bookmark it in your web browser of choice.

Stage 2: Logging into your blog
To log into your blog, add the following to the end of your blog web link: ?flavor=admin.
| For example to log into our example student blog |
| http://blogs.rave.ac.uk/blojsom/blog/91234599/?flavor=admin |
| A staff example would look something like this |
| http://blogs.rave.ac.uk/blojsom/blog/jsmith/?flavor=admin |
You will see the Blojsom log in window in your web browser. Just use your normal Ravensbourne user name and password to log in.
Tip: You'll also probably want to bookmark the login page for your blog as well to save time typing in ?flavor=admin.

Stage 3: Now you're logged in!
If all has gone well and you've not made any typos in your log-in details, you should see your Blojsom web administration console (as illustrated in the image below).

Stage 4: How do I log out of my blog?
As you can see in the image below, or if you're already logged into your blog, you'll probably have noticed, in to top right-hand corner a red Logout link. If you click on Logout it will, unsurprisingly, log you out of your blog admin console and send you back to the log in screen of your blog.
