Personal Statement
My name is Joe Smith and I am currently in my final year of studying (your course here) at Ravensbourne College. I'm enthusiastic, hard working and creative, and enjoy working both by myself and as part of a team. I am motivated and very keen to learn. I am especially keen on packaging and branding. My degree has made me become adaptable to a variety of new situations by creating projects that vary in subject matter and disciplines.
Interests
I have an active social life and enjoy travelling. I am currently trying to teach myself the piano and have recently learnt to ski.
Work Experience
Period: March 2008, for 3 weeks
Company: X5, London
Position: Interior Design Department
I obtained an experience placement, and worked within the design department. I worked on several high profile clients, such as John Lewis with some of my work being used in a pitch against other design groups, which we then went on to win. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement and learned a lot.
Period: 2003-Present
Company: Woolworths
Position: Sales Assistant
I have found this part time work vital in the improvement of my interpersonal skills, helping me to work well as part of a team, and also improve my communication skills by dealing with a variety of different members of the public and difficult situations. It has improved my confidence in speaking with colleagues and the public and I find this helps with college assessments and presentations.
